CJ's right. The tanks, lines, and valves will freeze. If you attempt to drive with the heat on in the RV your taking great risk of fire/explosion (kinda' like flying with American Airlines). Obviously, with a motor home you can use that vehicle's heater and defroster. And, you must turn the heat and any other gas source (refirgerator) off when entering gas stations, etc. I recommend an RV environmentally safe anti-freeze in the black and gray tanks with some bacterial agent added, dry fresh water tank, and not using the black or gray tanks until arriving at a destination with warmer temps. If you camp overnight in a place that freezes, then you may want to empty the tanks that you use just before pulling out of the hookups. The heat within your motorhome should prevent freezing unless the temps get down in the 'teens or lower. Your drain hose might freeze if you leave it connected, without heating tape, and use it frequently. When I take my airstream elk hunting, I simply don't use the black tank-I use outdoor facilities. If I can keep heat on it 24/7 (buy lotsa' propane, run external generator) then I will use the gray tank.

In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
