So last night about midnight I went out and lifted each knotter up on the stack and cut all the twine off each bill hook * tried turning the knotter stack and needles by hand the needles will come up but I can’t roll them all the way through a cycle . The thing has a different type of knotter drive than most the knotter can trip with the plunger on the front of its stroke as well as the rear of its stroke however If the knotter should trip with the plunger in the front of its stroke there’s a latch that will disengage the needles until the plunger is at the rear the stroke as we all know you can’t tie a knot without the plunger holding the hay so I’m thinking something has gone screwy in all that business will have to look in the daylight. If you ever have cause to curse an American engineer just give the boys across the sea a ring ! It’s no wonder why we left to come here !!! 🙃🙃🙃
