Well SV I would not run it in anything with a wet brake or clutch. I have been on the other end of replacing everything in a tractor because the owner wanted to "save" money on his hydraulic oil.
The most memorable is the JD 7600 MFWD with only 1700 hours on it. Owner so tight he squeaks when he walks. He "Saved" $200 on a 55 gallon barrel of 303 Equivalent Hydraulic oil. He changed the hydraulic oil and then hooked to his MoCo went an mowed about fifty acres of hay. He called me when he plugged the MoCo up. He was blaming the slip clutch. I got there and found out the PTO was stopping. Checked all the pressures and they where correct. Told him to take the MoCo home an I would need to do some more checking on what was wrong. He never got it home. The first hill he came to the tractor would not pull it, even in low gear. Towed him home. Asked him if anything had acted or sounded "funny" while he was cutting hay. He started ranting at me. He finally screamed that he had JUST changed the darn hydraulic oil so he knew it was full and the filter was good. Went an looked at the barrel. Just said 303 equal nothing else. Looked up the company/oil number on line and there they said all over the place not to be used in any equipment with a "wet" clutch. So we got to take the transmission apart, the PTO clutch, and the brakes. Everything looked all shiny and new. Just one problem, every bonded clutch disk was no longer bonded. The oil had eat whatever bonded the linings to the disks. This was 10-12 years ago. The final cost was just under $7500 for parts and labor. That oil saved him a LOT of money. LOL
