Block heaters , best thing invented , higher priced than starting fluid but a WHOLE LOT EASIER on the engine . My 4430 never did start from new and my inj pump mods made it worse so when I need it this time of year for chores or snow removal it is on a timer constantly on at 2am . Start on idle I think is best you aren't flooding it with fuel . I always use #2 fuel I use an additive made by Standadyne , ran some cold days last year plowing and blowing snow in northern Il . JIM
