Not especially rare, got one myself. The guys are right. If there's a specific problem or some general guidance needed, the Farmall Board here had a lot of other guys who are generous in sharing their experience. If your friend is getting into a project with his tractor, he would probably want to supplement their advice with the manuals, which are generally easy to come by. There's a link on the left right here to manuals, ort you can go to binderboks.com, who are also good.
