Good hooks wont bend like that.not chinese chain n hook quailty.i wont use substandard tie down load securements and never tie down to rubrails .always tie to frame behind rub rails. Seen properly secured loads stay on flipped over dragged etc..yes things happen but proper securement its stayin put.oil field pipe can be a killer but 1 gut wrap and chain at every piece of dunnage it stays put.tractors secured correct wont come off either.i usedm4 inch nylon straps but not on metal loads dont trust them. Im sure im gonna hear static but its fact. Dot can read load rating on tiedowns and can figure weight of load.ticket time and thats 1 i wont argue with.
