I posted on the Case Board, but not having any luck so hoping someone here might know something.
My neighbor is needing the Rear Steering Controller for a 9420 Case rigid steer tractor. The Part # is 60-6464T1 from Case. Seems to be NLS. Wondering if anyone would know of any salvage yards or possibly NLA parts? Any help with a Case salvage yard would be appreciated. He's kind of in a pickle. Talked to the folks at Ag Express. They did not know if they could fix it, but they needed pretty much the whole steering torn apart and sent to them to check it out. That was several pieces, not just the controller.
Original Post: "My neighbor Bill has a 9240 rigid frame 4 wd tractor that is having steering issues. Had the local Case mechanic out today and they worked on the steering. This is a seasoned veteran mechanic and super good. He narrowed the problem down to the steering controller on the right hand side in the console. The part appears to be NLA from Case. My question is if anyone would know of a salvage yard that might have a 9240 or 9260 to get one from, or any ideas where one might be found?"
I believe right now he only has front steering. Thanks a lot in advance for any help. Bob

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
