Thank you for your prayers. While this will not effect me directly in Louisiana; My Son; DIL; and grandson sit right at ground zero (St Lucie county) if this thing fails to turn. Even if it turns 20 miles late it could mean the differance in predicted 50 mph winds and 70+ mph winds. So we watch for every report and keep praying it turns.
With that said having grown up in SE La this is not his first storm. His house is built to the latest hurricane code with metal window shudders and reinforced walls. He and I have already made contact with friends he can fall back on provided he has to move at the last minute. So we feel that our bases are covered and can now only sit back and hope for the best.
This picture will show just how close this storm will get to the coast on Tuesday pre dawn hours before the predicted turn.
