9000 could be a model number but the 9600 a sub model number. The 5000 tractor and the 4000 3 cylinder tractor had sub model numbers of either 4100 or 5100 for the all purpose tractors with 5200 and 4200 being the row crop models. My 4100 were a 65 & 68 and the 5100 was a 68 and have not keept up with bigger or newer tractors, so just a thought.
