This spring, I lost spark on my Farmall C. I removed mag cover, 4 screws, and found it was full of water, condensation. It took me two attemps to dry it out..
I haven't had to replace my points and condenser. It looks I would need to take mag apart, remove the coil. The points and condenser look like they are difficult to get to.
When I do take mine apart, I plan to drill a small hole at it's lowest point for condensation to drain out. There is a small hole in distrubutor cap. I'm guessing hole is for condensation.
When I do rebuild my mag, I'll make sure my #1 cylinder is on TDC. Put marks on tractor so rotor is pointing to #1. Put marks on tractor so I can position mag in exact place. That should get me close enough to check timing after tractor starts.
Good luck. Keep us posted after you fix it
Many years ago, my dad's mag on 1940's cub went bad. I used just the points and condenser and hung an external coil. It worked that way for many years.

My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed. Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
