If you watch this video on youtube, sung by Ed Bruce, the first picture in the montage (hope that is the correct word) is an actual photograph taken on the Sherman Ranch, once the largest ranch in Kansas, located in central Kansas, just a few miles from me. A local woman wrote a book about the ranch called "He was the Sherman ranch". Very interesting reading. Some of the original buildings of the ranch still remain. Located mostly in Ellsworth County, some of the towns mentioned in the book are Crawford, Brookville, Geneseo, Kanopolis, Terra Cotta and Carneiro.
