I see this as some people will complain about anything. The law only allows SMV to go 25 mph. With newer faster tractors and pressure from farmers the state moved the speed limit from 25 to 39 for these faster tractors. Rather than change the old 25 mph SMV sign they added the 30 sign to show this to the public. You can still go 25 mph but if you want to take advantage of the new rules you need to add the new sign.
