18 years ago in NC i was getting ready for a mission trip to build a church in Odessa,Ukraine. We were leaving at 2 PM for Atlanta to go to Washingtom then to Vienna, where we would got to Odessa. Needless to say, we were not flying out that day. We left two days late. When JFK was killed I was ferrying a damaged Cessna Skylane from Medina Ohio to Dayton to get the prop repaired. As I checked into the tower at Mansfield Air force Reserve Base, at which time they warned me to look out for jet fighters taking off and I was to land ASAP. I had to land there and stay for a day till I could get clearance to proceed to Dayton. When the challenger blew up I was watching the plume from Cape Canaveral from a roof in Naples Fla. where I was installing a solar system when all of a sudden it came part. I have seen enough for several lifetimes. Now at 88 I want to be calm and peaceful

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
