Hi, Thanks for replying to this topic.
Does the oil cooler cool the engine or transmission oil? If transmission (transmission oil is red), is it a blown head gasket?
Need to know before we take off the radiator for repairs
Hi, We have a Furakawa FL 230 FEL with a Mitsubishi 6D20 diesel engine.
When we looked in the radiator there was a layer of engine oil at the top of the radiator. Water has never been the cleanest, but never oil in it. Whenever we check it, it always has water in it.
Marloweg has it oil cooler. If you want to test it you need to block off the port then with it in a pan of water heat the water till it shows up. Pressurize the oil side and it will bubble when it gets hot enough to leak. Heat to engine operating temp.
