Guys, I love old tractors, we have a Farmall Super C, Super H, and Super M, a JD 70, a Ford 2N, an AC D10, and we're working on getting a Case DC. But I realize that these tractors are not the optimum for work that has to be done, sure they will still do alot of work, but when it's time to get it done, as quickly as possible, with a tractor you know will work and complete the job, newer is better. Believe me, Kubotas stir no emotion in me like the old ones, they are just money to me, and I too would love a Harley, but that is enjoyment, not work. Besides, I still like to go fast sometimes, and NO harley ever built or rebuilt will run with my trusty old 1985 Honda V65 Magna, which has NEVER had the motor opened up for work! I think we must be confusing two issues here; a tractor to enjoy and do a little work vs a tractor to do work and make money with. As far as Bernhard goes, we have too much money and too much...yada yada yada! Real world is this, we have a Zetor in our yard that we have been waiting over a month for the parts we need to make it saleable, if this problem lasted more than 3 days for a Kubota, or a Deere, or a NH, it would be a monumentous event. Maybe that's not the way it is in Europe, I will not presume to tell him what to do as I don't know the situations are over there. As far as Deere goes, I love them up through the 20 series, and then they lost their personality. I respect their under 80HP tractors, because they are the only REAL competition I have, but they are still just business to me, and still Japanese, so NO flag waving at me! Pete

Good As New - by Bill Goodwin. In the summer of 1995, my father, Russ Goodwin, and I acquired the 1945 Farmall B that my grandfather used as an overseer on a farm in Waynesboro, Georgia. After my grandfather’s death in 1955, J.P. Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father
