Chuck, welcome to the club. I have similar circumstances, wet in one, dry in the other. It's hereditary in my case. Mine started when I got to noticing the green dash lights in my car and green HWY signs began to be blue in the first one. I was fortunate that the young guy that I went to did the shots himself. I was also lucky that they have so far, at the ten year mark, stopped the deterioration but improved that eye some. More recently, less than a year, the other eye has started south and while shots may have greatly slowed failure, it came on so fast that I lost quite a bit of vision to date. I highly recommend staying on top of the problem. If they get lax in taking scans for comparison, stay on them. The original Dr. I went to moved away and my next one seemed indifferent so I shopped for one I liked. I think that's important. My ability to drive is still a lot like yours. One a side note, I was taking Viagra for a few years, ( yeah scoff if you want, it was nice being 18 again), which temporarily altered my vision to see a blue tinge to things, much like the affect of my first mac degen. I mention this to my original Dr. He told me that there is anecdotal evidence that the little blue pills may contribute to causing MD. He wouldn't recommend stopping usage but when pressed he told me that HE wouldn't chance it. Good luck and stay in touch. gm

As a companion to the articles on three-brush and two-brush generators, it seemed fitting that we should provide our readers with a description of how a generator works in lay terms. The difficulty with all those "theory of operation" texts is that they border on principles of electricity or physics and such. Since I know nothing of either, you will have to put up with looking at the common sense side of how generators work which means we "
