I first went there in 1970 when I was 10. It was out in the woods,nice and shady. I remember Shorty Kellum's hotel and the blacksmith shop from The Beverly Hillbillys. Went again in 1985, ALL the trees were gone,no shade in sight hot as he**. I saw Grandpa Jones perform outdoors at the amphitheater and wondered how he could stand performing in that blazing heat with his rubber boots on. I found an air conditioned theater and stayed in there a couple hours till we left. I said I'd never go back and do not recommend the place to anyone. It reminded me of the song Bulldozed Paradise and Put Up a Parking Lot.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
