If you have good, heavy duty, or hooded fixtures you want to keep, the lamps can be bought on Ebay or Amazon.
There are several choices, the wattage, color, etc.
Some have double rows of LED's for extra brightness if needed. I put up some double row LED's and they are really bright, so far so good, been up a couple weeks now.
On the 8 ft slimline and HO lamps, all I have seen are the type the ballast is removed and they are wired directly to line voltage. That eliminates the possibility of future ballast failure.
I would buy from USA sellers, look at their return and warranty policies.
