Often when trying to figure out the year of a piece of equipment I will do a search of for sale listings and auction results.
Most listings contain the year and serial number, there are always a few that are not correct but if you find a half a dozen with serial numbers consistent with the year range listed then you have answered your question.
If for some reason you are missing your serial number you can still get pretty close by comparing details common to your tractor and others listed for sale as almost all equipment undergoes at least some minor changes through the years that it is manufactured.
Once you notice something that is different about yours compared to others you see listed look up the part number for the item that seems different and often you will find the part listed for sale with information that it fits for example 1974-1975 models only with the ??? option.
