I think you can maybe go to a good auto parts store and get some pistons and rings that would work.It might take a while looking on a computer to see what would work.The shims under the bearings doesnt sound good.If they can find some pistons maybe if you measure the rod throws real carefull they might find some bearings too.Since you allready have it apart it might be better to try and fix it if its cheaper than another motor.If you go to a parts store and they act like they dont know what you are talking about,you are in the wrong one.An independent one is your best bet with a knowlegeable man behind the counter.Its hard to find one of these I know,and harder to find people like that with time to look for the stuff you need,but it might be worth it,and you would know what you had when you were done.
