When I was in school all classes first thru twelth grade, no kindergarden started at 9 anded at 3 for grades 1-8 and about 3:30 for grades 9-12. No standing out at road in dark wating for a bus that is dangerous and all got home before dark as well. Having the busses out in the dark is plain stupid. If you cannot get the kids picked up without running the rout to get it done for making the kids ride bus for 2 hours is rediculas. If you have that that the kids have to get on an hour before sunrise then it is time to stop using those oversize busses and get easier handling ones properly sized and hire more drivers. Soime kids might not be able to go that long without having to use a restroom. The ones that set the verly hours do not have to go to work in the dark and stand out along thr road for an hour wating on a bus that just might not be on time in 32* weather with 25mph winds. They don't care about the students health, only their playtime at end of day. I road a 49 passenger bus for 2 hours a day, with there 80 passenger busses they now think they have to have how long are the kids on the bus? 3 hours per trip? One day off for thanksgiving, Christmas vacation started at 2:00 of the 24th of December and back after new years on Jan second. Did not start untill after labor day and finnished with no problems in May.
