The 3000 was great followed by the 7000(85hp!) with a loader on it. they were both older and well used but very reliable units. Came from a local dealer who carried only used Ford tractors and parts and could repair any of them in his sleep. He retired and I got this JD 5045D (also used) as a replacement. Has had scattered problems fro the get go(not to mention Ias U said I had todownsixe the bushog down from 7'to 6'. I'm ok here with 2 wd and don't need so much HP .I'm older and think 50hp or so and possibly 4wd would be nice when picking up heavy loads. I'll be trading the JD 5045D in on the deal so I could add to that $15-20000. I need some reliable make tractor as close to being new as I can find. Seems Kubota keeps coming up but I've never been crazy about them. Not many dealer near me in southside virginia except JD and Kubota.
