Old, I know absolutely nothing about guns. I had a Daisy BB gun when I was a kid, my dad had a .22 rifle single shot that we used to shoot at tin cans with. I don't think I have ever actually laid eyes on a handgun in my life (sure, TV and Magazines and this tractor forum even). So I have never held one and obviously have never shot one either. So no, I didn't know that. And of course to suggest that a gun kills without a person involved is ludicrous. But what puzzles me is the WIDE variation in gun death rates between developed nations (of which Mexico is not considered one). What could possibly be the reason for example between gun rate deaths here in Canada vs the USA? I can't answer that question but there must be a reason. I don't think that the people are all that much different on the whole. I do know we have relatively strict gun laws and availability of guns is monitored more closely. Not to suggest though that we don't have a gun problem, gun death rates are growing up here over the past half dozen years but are still relatively low.
