You do need chains you will be amazed at the increase in traction, can your wheels be set out on the tractor usually there are different settings you can use by changing rims around etc if you have an owners or operators manual it may tell you this or a dealer could tell you or copy the page for you. This will probably be easier than moving the cab around. Are you tires loaded and do they have to much air in them. Try www.tirechains.com for a set of chains. Feathering the clutch will reduce the life of it especially if the engine is revved up a bit the chains will probably be cheaper than the clutch overhaul. regards rod regards rod
