Mike, I have a 1976 F-250 ford that I put a brand new Perkins 1000series phazer engine in , equipted with a allision at545. this truck is a "10 wheeler" 6x6 with all three axels, being Dana 60 with posi. Duals on rear and 10" wide wheels on front. It is a bear, it has a 12' flat bed that i built. As far as th allision, is concerened it is tough, real tough, I had mine completely remanufactured by allision dealer to the tune of $1500 with 1yr warenty on it. the only thing aginst the tranismision is that it does not hold back likr a standard. this trans. came out of a school bus also. all i can say is go for it you will like it Jack in Fla P.S. email me with your add and I'll send u a pic
