Do you mean the same kind of boosters that are also referred to as "Jump Start" items. The one mentioned by sotxbill is exactly what I repaired earlier this year. I think it had been used incorrectly as one battery had its case bulged out. I put both batteries in new and also the arc-burned main switch. Now a few months later and one battery is at zero volts and the other is about 1.8 volts and they have hardly been used. Also the charging function was bad so I have had the main cables connected to a trickle/float mode charger with the main switch set on 12 V, so the charger is "feeding" both batteries in parallel, but that hasn't kept these batteries up. These new batteries came via Amazon and I wonder if they have been "selling" faulty stuff?
