Traditional Farmer , You just proved a good point, What is legal in my county isn't legal in your county. Even if someone is breaking a law, many cops only enforce some lawn and ingore other laws unless someone compains. ATV's and side by sides are legal on county roads.
Ex, open fires are illegal in town. In the county no big deal unless someone complains or think it could cause their place to burn down. Then fire department will put your fire out.
I've never heard of anyone in my county ever get a ticket for not having a SMV on farm equipment. The cops have bigger fish to fry.
No cop has ever stopped me for driving on the grass next to road. I haven't been stopped for having expired plates. I discovered my plates had expired on 07-20-19. I went online and renewed tags. Haven't gotten them in the mail yet. If I do get stopped I can show cop on my smart phone I'm good. Again, I think cops have bigger fish to fry.
I don't get why so many on YT are so picky about little things like driving on grass or the color of a gas can. Darned if you do something and darned if you don't.
