I've pretty much given up trying to advise anyone of anything to do with FMCSR type stuff here. If they don't hear exactly what they want then they get all defensive. And trying to explain why some stuff is covered and some stuff isn't and what a CMV is vs a private vehicle...it's just too much hassle. Straps are fine, so are chains and for some stuff rope is okay! Leave it at that and run!
