I never saw an aluminum cab Emeryville.The steel cabs on those would rust so bad you couldn't jack the cabs up.That one looks like an old Mayflower moving truck.I drove one that somebody bought from the Mayflower people,it had that paint scheme on it.The one I drove had what somebody called centerpoint steering,the center of the front hubs stuck out quite a bit beyond the outside of the wheels.The centerline of the tires were inboard of the kingpins.When you walked by you could bash your knees on the bearing caps.It was like power steering,but it ate kingpins.It was touted as a safety thing,they said if you blew a front tire the truck would go straight.I hauled milk crates out of a factory in Raymond N.H. and could palm that steering wheel around when backing up.I liked the truck.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
