Leyland 154, was previously BMC Mini Nuffield tractor. Designed for British Motor Corporation by Harry Ferguson Research Ltd. Was designed to give farmers a replacement tractor to the Ferguson TE20 (TO20). Originally powered by a 16 hp modified petrol engine it was found to be too low in powered so was re-powered with a 25 hp version and rebadged the BMC Mini 4/25. When Leyland took over the company it became the Leyland 154.
Versions were available in both petrol and diesel form. Both were very economical to run and were used as yard tractors, grounds tractors with local councils and as horticultural tractors with quite a range of implements. A form of mechanical draft control was used and proved very effective. It was achieved by varying the hitch points.
