I have looked into this on my 50' G and I don't think it is possible as the reduction gears on a G are wider than a 70 or 720 (if I remember correctly) and also the gear on the input shaft of transmission on a G has very little clearance between the outer diameter and the reduction cover. I did do a gear reduction on a 70 gas a few years ago by taking a set of reduction gears from a 70 diesel and using them I had to bevel the inside edge of the pulley drive gear to provide clearance between it and the PTO drive gear that runs beside it on the crankshaft and also had to remove the oil slinger gear that rides on the pin at the bottom of the gear reduction cover I then overfilled the transmission by about 2 gallons to insure that the reduction gears would still be getting lubrication I used it for pulling and plow days with no adverse affects
