why would you want to buy bateries and have all those headaches of a charing system, when a good rebuilt mag will run that tractor just like it is suppose to? i have three tractors that have mags and one with a distributor and i have to buy a new batery all the time it seems like. if you decide to go and convert definetly buy an original IH distributor.
