with valve closed, disconnect fuel line at carb , then open valve at sediment bowl and check the fuel flow. gas should be running out of line in a full stream with the tank over 1/4 full, fuller the tank farther the stream. that is the most important and first thing to check. lots of times the sediment bowl inlet plugs with junk. it may or may not have a filter in sediment bowl. plus there is a filter screen at carb inlet. no idea what you have going on as this is factory stuff i'm talking about. any time you have the carb off is always a good time to check fuel flow , plus your flushing the line before installing it back on carb.
