Sorry TF, You can't provoke me into an argument about TV. If you want to research it you'll find how destructive the 4 1/2 hours of tv the average American watches each day really is. You just can't tell me Wheat47's brother would have learned his arithmetic as well watching TV as he did learning to play cribbage. And you can't tell me watching tv would keep an old man's brain as sharp as playing cribbage, or Scrabble, or Hearts or reading a book does. TV has made Americans lazy, it's made them over emotional, it's made them lose their ability to think critically and rationally. TV has really dumbed down this country. Those are inescapable facts. I am NOT against people having pastimes or down time. But pick your poison carefully. TV is the least helpful thing you can do for yourself. And the fact is the more of it you watch the dumber you become. By the way, Mike beat me again last night. A good rousting tussle that came down to the wire. But he counted first and that decided it.
