Ok..but...I have found in NJ the hi-test pump says NO ethanol but when I tested it there was 5% in the blasted stuff. I am going to see if I can find a closer boat yard to get ethanol free gas. Was talking to a service mechanic at a rental store today and he almost started screaming when the word ethanol was mentioned. He actually keeps a stock pile of spare carbs for their Honda engines. Most of their stuff is 5 and 8 horse. Not even $12. Only takes 8 to 10 minutes to change. During the winter you can take them apart and swap parts around till you get some spare good ones. I agree this stuff is just crazy. You also find that the summer and winter formulations are not only different, they vary state to state. That could be why some people have no problems and other people have their carburetors eaten alive. As I said about my carb. It was clean a few weeks ago. I ran my vacuum today and she popped off first pull. Also installed the new NGK IRIDIUM plug. Beauty! Look on Ebay and order that exact number in red. You also want that four digit number on the end. This is the plug for cars and such and not superhigh performance race engines. You need all of that number. Worth every penny. Takes the place of the champion plug # RC 12YC. And several others. The straight NGK cross over is BPR6ES or BPR5ES.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
