Made good use of the 4 day weekend. Thursday went to my stepson Cameron's house for Thanksgiving. Was his first time having a big dinner. Was a great time. This is him and his girlfriend cooking. Didn't get table pic this year, too busy eating I guess. Lol
Friday I took my corn to the elevator. Had to transfer one load from a wagon with poor tires so I had a chance to use my case elevator.
Started Saturday by organizing the sheds for winter. Got everything inside, but found the starter bad on the weather so couldn't move that to the quanset. I have another starter for it so that will happen next week.
Once I get that over to the quanset and get a leaking tire fixed on the one load of corn I'll move that too, then I'll have more room in the pole shed to work on projects. The rest of the day Saturday was spent in the barn getting ready for live stock. Worked on taking down the milking equipment and stalls and making pens. Got mostly done, just need gates to go from post to post now.
Last weekend my son Eric came up and wires in some lights and for the well wires in and working so I'm almost ready. Good thing too as I made a deal on these 4 steers from my friend Jeff as he doesn't want to feed them all winter. So they will be first in the barn. My son Nick wanted to get involved so he actually bought these. I'll be getting more later for myself too.
Started yesterday plowing snow with my 220 tractor as we got the best part of a foot of snow. Always amazes me how much snow this thing will blow.
Then went a couple hours drive west, just west of Little Falls to meet Larry Skoglund, another YT'er, and picked up this T6 case manure spreader. Seems all complete and should work with a little repair and a couple tires. Even got 4 good tires in the deal. Had a great chat with Larry too. Seems once I get started I can talk a whole afternoon away. Lol
By the time I got home it was well after dark so that's it for this weekend. Next weekend will be to Finnish the barn and get those steers moved and be ready for some pigs. They are selling very cheap right now so hoping for some bargains. Getting excited to have some animals, hope it works out good.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
