I have had TV almost all my life. Born in 46, my father had a half interest in "Home Appliance" store. They sold radios, washers, Singer sewing machines and whatever. We lived and still do in Winamac Indiana, about 100 miles fron Chicago too far for TV reception. In 1947 dad and his radio repairman, who was in Signal Corp WW II in Germany ( darn smart guy) built a 70 ft. tower on the roof of the store. It worked brought the first Television to town. Wasn't much on back then but he proved it worked. Sold a lot of those big 8 and 10 inch sets. I remember Mom watching the Cubs play while she ironed. joe
