When you consider what is on the back of some of the newer trucks now days It would probably be rare to find one that didn't need some programming changes;
-Taillight circuit
-Trailer wiring
-Back up cameras
-Proximity sensors
-3rd brake lights
-Additional load of the lights on headache rack of deck
-Power tailgate locks
-Security systems
2009 hard to say what or if is on your truck.
Why are you considering a flatbed?
If you want one for a dedicated purpose like a bale handler for example they are great.
Picking up a couple of skids of lick tubs they are great but for my use that is about as far as it goes.
For day to day chores I find mine to be more of a pain than it is worth because even with the short sides on mine everything on the deck must be strapped down if you want it to still be there when you get to where you are going.
Not even a spare tire will stay put unless chained down.
With a recessed gooseneck hitch you not only have to raise the trailer high enough to get off the ball but add another 6 inches or so to clear the deck when you drive out as typically the rear of the deck will sit higher when unloaded.

The farm and the Allis were sold and I have spent a lifetime working on farms throughout the country. I promised myself that one day I would own an Allis. That time event
