Most of the negatives are from other brand people. The power shift was as reliable as any other if maintained properly. If it's good when you buy it and you drain and change the trany oil and use only case hytran the trany will last for many thousands of hours. If it dies go bad it's no more costly to rebuild than any other. They do have their quirks such as making sure you do not leave them in reverse when doing stationary PTO work like on a silage blower or manure pump. They make excellent loader tractors as the power shift works just like a shuttle shift. They are old tho and if the engine is original they can have leaking sleeves. That is easy to check by just cracking the drain plug and looking for antifreeze to come out. But even if that is bad they are not real expensive to overhaul.
The 1370 is similar with the exception that they only have 1000rpm PTO so much hay equipment won't work. They do have massive torque from the engine and will handle most hay equipment at half throttle with an adaptor tho.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
