They aren’t that popular in certain areas especially in areas with smaller fields they work great in smaller fields but they are quite an investment and a lot more to maintain than a sickle bar mower or haybine as you can see you have another engine with all its fuel and electrical systems then you have the hydrostatic drives and larger tires than a pull type machine and then you have all the drives for the swather header itself
