Keith: The way I remember it was Dick and Bill started out as Green and Son. Then the original Tri-Green Auction was owned by Dick, Judy and Connie.
I dealt mainly with Dick. He and I traded/sold/bought a fair amount of equipment. Judy and I just never could see eye to eye. Connie was better off in the office, that is all I will say about her.
In the mid 1990s the auction changed. The Jockeys got so thick that there where few pieces that had not been bought and sold ten times before the auction. I could go directly to dealerships and buy equipment cheaper than the auction. The good, straight from the farm, equipment just dried up. So I quit going to the auction. I bet the last one of their auctions I went to was in 1997 or so.
I looked on their Facebook page and there is sounds like they are just quitting the auction. It did not say anything about them selling or moving locations.
P.S. One thing I do remember is the Amish restaurant that is 4-5 miles north of Tri-Green. Good food there.
