You could take a glass bowl and drill a hole in it at the bottom, and epoxy a fitting/valve into the hole. There are fuel resistant epoxies. Using a Dremel tool with a carbide burr, you could taper the inside of the brass so it was contoured to the bottom of the bowl. Making the brass snug in the drilled hole makes it sturdy. I think a bowl like that would have retail value. I understand your irritation at the responses you were given.
