Well that depends. If it's a 20 year old truck with 200,000 plus miles on it you are right. But if it's a 20 year old truck lightly used with say 150,000? I'd say that was a short life for the tranny. Long as it doesn't sit for long periods light use it should last well past 20 years without issue is say you only drive 5K a year.
