My brother Lynwood started out like me, and never went to college, even though we had the chance. We both grew up on Dad's farm here in S California. He started out doing mechanic work for different ones. Then he got interested in raising cattle. He never had any land, but rented. Back then land was available. Towards the end he had a 5000 acre piece, and had close to 300 cows. Some dry years he had to have hay hauled in. When he lost the land he had to sell everything. He didn't do much after that.
