I served in Germany in 1967-68, we live in Quonset huts. Several tied together with wood walkways. They were in a layout with the walkway North-South and the huts East-West. North was HQ, South was Latrine and was downhill.Yep it did run downhill. I have photos of snow drifts inside the walkway. Heat was oil stoves spaced 2 or 3 depending on size. In the winter of 67-68 the heating oil got so cold it would not flow. Mummy bags and wool blankets, still cold. AHH the good old days! Joe

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
