I have read some archive posts and have been told my rear seal was more than likely leaking because it was too full. So I plan to replace only this seal on one side and hope it is ready to go.
My son kept telling me the rear seal was leaking and he was continually adding fluid. I was using a box blade and the bearing started talking after about three days of steady work. I am suspecting the fluid leaking through the bearing washed out the bearing grease.
I pulled the axle before I figured it out. I will remove the seal and repack the bearings and hopefully solve the problem.
I plan to go back with 15W40 oil. Hopefully the other wheel is still greased. It for some reason has not leaked.
