I've posted this before. Am a small contractor and buy a lot of materials. Annual breakdown looks something like this: Home Depot 70% Menards 7% Other, specialty vendors 23% I've never liked Menards. Yes, they are a bit cheaper but the quality is never as good. At menards if you want 40 studs you go to the lumber desk, order them, get a paper, pay at cashier then go into the yard and find the most twisted, unuseable culls for studs. Have to go back inside and "return" the studs you never picked up. Not worth it. FYI, Home Depot also gives a 10% discount to Vets. They're glad to give it and always thank you for your service. I dont use it for work but use it for home and a couple of rentals I have.
