What are you wanting to do with the truck? Box and hoist just a flatbed for hay ? If a box and hoist just strip off part of the bus body .Save some to close the hole left behind the drivers seat and mount your box and hoist. A neighbor did that back in the late 80's or early 90's he saved a small space to haul grease guns oil and such to the field with it. Then load with grain and come back to the bin. He used it for a long time like that. Would be easier than all the work you want to do. I never liked any of the IH mid sized trucks with the doghouse over the back of the engine. No room to work and a pain to see and get at things. The old classic Pete and Freightliner with all the engine in front of the fire wall was so much easier to work on.
