There were a good many Long tractors around here in the late 70's and 80's - especially in western NC (tobacco country) where my mother is from. I guess they are OK tractors - the line for me is mulit-fold on these. First is - can you get parts, second is - can you get someone to work on them that has a clue about what they are looking at and third - can you get internet forum support from such sites as YT and others. Lastly - if the price is low enough, who care about the above, you're not out of a lot of $$$ and may be worth taking a chance. As I dabble/consider various makes and model tractors for our farm and with respect to all of the above, I'm liking MF tractors more and more every day.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
