If I won the lottery this week I'd be getting some tractors from the 70's and 80's put back like brand new and not buy a new one,don't care for the plastic and electronics. There are so many great bargains around like an Oliver 1655 with a cab looked good and owner said mechanicals were good it sold for $5500.70HP tractor that'd be what, At least $55,000 today as a new one? 10X the cost of the 1655.Give me the 1655 and the $50,000,run them for 20 years and I'd bet I'll be spent less on the 1655 than a new one.Plus in 20 years the resales would probably be pretty close to each other. I can't see how a new tractor would make me any more money than my older ones make me now.
